Note de l'auteur : Calamine is a lotion we put on what we call poison ivy, a rash received from touching the poison ivy or poison oak plant-native, at least, in America. The oils of the plant irritate the skin causing it to blister and itch. This particular lotion, calamine, is a tell-tale sign that someone has poison ivy; it seems to be one of the only things that dries out the oil and staves off the itching. The rash and itching last for about a week in most cases.
